Doob Tube Labels

While you should consult local, state, and federal guidelines for each product, think about including the following labeling considerations:

• • Product Name: Clearly state the name of the product.
  • Net Weight: The total weight of the product must be listed in both metric and imperial units.
  • THC/CBD Content: Labels must include the percentage or milligrams of THC and CBD per serving and per package.
  • Health Warnings: Include any required health warnings, such as “Keep out of reach of children” or specific warnings about the effects of THC.
  • Batch Number and Expiration Date: Ensure traceability by including batch numbers and expiration or best-by dates.
  • Manufacturer Information: The name, address, and contact information of the manufacturer or distributor must be present.
  • State-Specific Warnings: Some states have unique requirements, such as California’s Proposition 65 warning, which mandates a specific label warning about exposure to certain chemicals​

For safe packaging purposes, doob tubes often feature child-resistant packaging or tamper-evident features:

• • Child-Resistant Packaging:
    • Many states require cannabis products, including doob tubes, to be in child-resistant packaging to prevent accidental ingestion by minors.
    • The packaging must meet ASTM D-3475 standards, meaning it has been tested and proven difficult for children under five years old to open.
  • Tamper-Evident Features:
    • Packaging must have a tamper-evident seal to show if the product has been opened or altered. This can be achieved using shrink bands or tamper-evident stickers over the cap​
